New season at the museum
The Salmon Bothy museum re-opens this week for the Easter holiday weekend! Opening hours are 2 - 4pm on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th and Monday 6th April.
Throughout April and May opening times will be 2 - 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Our friendly volunteers will be delighted to welcome you!

Paddington (the movie) is coming to Portsoy just in time for the Easter holidays! Thursday 2nd April, 7pm at the Salmon Bothy. Tickets from usual outlets are just £5 and come with guaranteed Easter treats!

William Littlejohn, casualty of WW1
On this day we reflect on the sacrifice of William
Littlejohn, Gunner 2014 in the Royal Garrison Artillery (34th), who
died of his injuries on 18th March 1915 at the Royal Military
Hospital, Isle of Wight. He left behind
a widowed wife, Jane Morrison, Chapel Street, Portsoy. His grave can be found in Portsoy’s old
burial ground.

James Williamson, war casualty
Today we remember James Williamson, Pte 1465, 6th Battalion
Gordon Highlanders, a casualty of the battle of Neuve Chapelle. James was
the son of J. Williamson, gamekeeper at Glassaugh, Fordyce, and was aged just
19 when he died on 13th March 1915. He is named on the memorial at Le Touret in Pas de Calais, France.
